Dark Souls II: Crown of the Sunken King is the first DLC expansion for Dark Souls II, released in July 2014. It takes players to the subterranean city of Shulva, an ancient, sunken city filled with new enemies, intricate traps, and formidable bosses. The expansion introduces new weapons, armour, and spells, as well as additional lore that explores the history of the Sunken King.
